Job Description
Job Summary Beekman's Wine & Liquor's is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused sales associate to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, have an interest in wine, beer and spirits, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we'd love to hear from you. Duties Assist customers with product selection, answering questions and providing personalized recommendations based on their needs. Process cash transactions accurately, including handling cash drawers and performing retail math calculations. Check IDs and ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws Assist with inventory and deliveries as needed Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment. Maintain organized records of sales transactions, cash flow, and inventory to support efficient store operations. Keep the store clean and presentable at all times Requirements Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with retail store environments is preferred. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations. Experience with banking or financial services is a plus, especially in retail lending or loan processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to handle cash drawer responsibilities accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and cash management. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
