Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service through active communication and attentive listening. Assist shoppers in locating products, answering questions about merchandise, and offering product demos when appropriate. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts. Operate various online systems to process shipments, drop offs, and various returns Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts, ensuring products are well-organized and appealing. Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with stock replenishment to keep shelves fully stocked. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support cashiering duties with basic math skills for accurate transactions and change giving. Engage in product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, boosting sales opportunities. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment. Experience Prior retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing customer interactions. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers confidently and professionally. Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and cashiering will set you apart. Knowledge of phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills are critical for creating positive interactions.
