Sales Clerk/Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Store Clerk to join our retail team here at Adult Playtime Boutique. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products. Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system. Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an appealing store layout. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the sales floor and backroom areas. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance. Skills Strong cash handling skills with experience in operating cash registers or POS systems. Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to effectively sell products and services. Basic math skills, including retail math for accurate pricing and inventory management. Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers and drive sales. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and maintaining merchandise displays.
