As a Cannabis Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our valued guests, guiding them through our diverse product offerings with expertise and enthusiasm. Key Responsibilities Warmly welcome and engage every guest, fostering a positive and inclusive environment with enthusiastic communication. Thoroughly verify guest documentation, including proper identification and paperwork, to ensure compliance with all regulations. Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient dispensary space, adhering to company standards. Accurately process point-of-sale transactions, including cash and debit, meticulously handling payments and providing correct change while maintaining a balanced register. Skillfully input orders with precision and efficiency, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience for guests. Actively participate in nightly inventory counts of all dispensary products, contributing to accurate stock management. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current cannabis industry trends, product details, effects, and consumption methods to provide expert recommendations. Assist with product preparation, including trimming and filling pre-roll joints, ensuring quality and presentation. Strategically restock and organize product displays, enhancing visual appeal and product accessibility. Update digital and physical menus, as well as signage, with informative and engaging content. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall dispensary operations and guest satisfaction. Required Qualifications Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of various cannabis strains, products, and their applications. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer-facing role within retail or a similar service industry. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs. Proficiency in basic computer operations, Point of Sale (POS) software, and cash handling procedures. Must be of legal age to sell cannabis in accordance with state and local regulations. Strong mathematical aptitude for accurate cash transactions and inventory management. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and empathetically. Basic reading comprehension skills for understanding product information and company policies. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working within the regulated cannabis industry. A discernible passion for the cannabis plant and its therapeutic or recreational benefits. Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining exceptional service standards. Experience with inventory management systems specific to the cannabis sector. Physical Demands and Work Environment The role requires an employee to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods. Regular exposure to strong cannabis odors is expected, and frequently handling cannabis products is required. The employee must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe, with attention to potential slipping or tripping hazards. Frequent hand washing is necessary. Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly is also required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
