Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service while handling transactions and assisting customers with their shopping needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will play a vital role in enhancing their shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring cash handling procedures are followed. Conduct product demos to showcase items and promote sales. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve overall sales performance. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all stock is replenished as necessary. Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support in their roles. Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a pleasant shopping environment. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales, particularly in a grocery store environment, is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform cash handling duties accurately and responsibly. Proficiency in product demos to engage customers effectively. Skills in upselling products to maximize sales opportunities. Experience supervising or mentoring staff is a plus.
