As a Powersports Parts, Accessories, and Apparel Associate, you will assist customers in identifying and purchasing parts, accessories, and apparel that suit their needs. You will provide expert knowledge on products, offer advice on vehicle customization, and ensure that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience. This role requires a blend of strong customer service, product knowledge, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers in finding parts, accessories, and apparel for their vehicles. Offer product recommendations based on customer needs, such as safety gear, performance parts, and customization options. Provide detailed information about product features, warranties, and installation processes. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Product Knowledge:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest powersports parts, accessories, and apparel trends. Stay informed on product availability, new releases, and promotions. Assist in selecting the appropriate parts and accessories based on the make and model of the customer's vehicle.
Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing parts, accessories, and apparel in the retail area. Monitor stock levels and order new inventory to maintain product availability. Conduct regular stock checks and report low stock levels or damaged goods to management.
Sales and Upselling:
Help drive sales by suggesting related products and upselling items that complement customers' purchases. Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
Order Processing:
Assist customers with special orders and backorders, ensuring they receive their products in a timely manner. Ensure the correct parts are ordered and promptly follow up with customers regarding order status.
Customer Education:
Provide guidance to customers regarding proper installation, maintenance, and use of products. Educate customers about vehicle safety and performance enhancements offered by various parts and accessories.
Cash Register and Point of Sale:
Process customer transactions accurately through the register or point of sale (POS) system. Handle returns and exchanges in compliance with store policies.
General Store Maintenance:
Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked. Assist with setting up displays and arranging products to promote sales.
Skills & Abilities:
Product Expertise:
Knowledge of various powersports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc.) and their parts and accessories.
Sales Ability:
Comfortable with upselling products and achieving sales goals.
Customer-Focused:
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and provide advice.
Organization:
Capable of keeping track of inventory, managing multiple tasks, and ensuring the store is always organized.
Working Conditions:
Work environment is typically in a retail store with exposure to loud noise and sometimes busy or high-pressure environments. May involve occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. Ability to walk, bend, and reach to retrieve products.
