The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, provides outstanding customer service, maintains a clean and organized store, and helps create an enjoyable shopping experience for every customer. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Greet every customer with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Operate the cash register accurately and process cash, credit card, and digital payments. Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with all New York State alcohol sales laws. Assist customers in locating products and making recommendations when appropriate. Restock shelves, coolers, and displays throughout the day. Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and fully stocked. Help receive deliveries. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items. Maintain attractive product displays and promotional areas. Answer customer questions regarding products, and pricing. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Follow company policies regarding cash handling, security, and loss prevention. Work as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Honest, dependable, and punctual. Comfortable standing for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Basic math and cash handling skills. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is preferred.
