Overview Our Irish gift shop is looking for a friendly, reliable part‑time Retail Associate to help create a welcoming experience for customers exploring Irish treasures, heritage items, and unique gifts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, keeps the store running smoothly, and takes pride in sharing a bit of Irish charm with every visitor. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and offer assistance in finding Irish gifts, apparel, jewelry, and specialty items. Maintain a tidy, organized sales floor, restock merchandise, and ensure displays remain inviting. Operate the POS system accurately for purchases, returns, and gift wrapping. Share product knowledge and answer questions about Irish culture, symbolism, and gift ideas. Assist with inventory tasks, including unpacking shipments, tagging products, and organizing stock. Support store atmosphere by keeping the space clean, welcoming, and aligned with the Irish theme. Provide excellent customer service to both tourists and local shoppers. Skills & Qualifications Friendly, customer‑focused attitude with strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods. Comfortable learning product details and sharing information with customers. Basic POS/cash‑handling experience preferred but not required. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Weekend or holiday availability is a plus. Schedule & Compensation Part‑time position (approximately 20-32 hours per week). Flexible scheduling based on store needs and seasonal traffic. Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
