Position Overview :

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Garden Center Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers with plant and product selection, maintaining attractive and healthy plant displays, and providing knowledgeable guidance on gardening and plant care. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a passion for plants and horticulture, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers and provide exceptional customer service Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, pottery, décor, and related products Provide accurate plant care and gardening advice Maintain plant health through proper watering, pruning, and general care Stock and organize merchandise, ensuring displays remain full and visually appealing Assist with receiving and unloading plant and product shipments Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the garden center Assist with seasonal displays, promotions, and merchandising Support team members with other daily operational tasks as needed Experience in operating equipment, such as skid steer is a plus

Qualifications:

Interest in plants, gardening, landscaping, or horticulture preferred Retail or customer service experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn about the products we carry, and take initiative to expand knowledge on your own Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and carrying plants or merchandise Reliable, punctual, willing to take direction, and a true team player Valid Driver's license and ability to do smaller local pick-ups from vendors Bonus qualifications: Ability to operate equipment such as a skid-steer is a plus Social media skills, to post weekly sales and content

Schedule & Availability:

Must be able to work one weekend day. Position is seasonal. March - November, with possibility of extended winter work
