The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army. West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking Part Time Sales Associates to provide support in our Retail Operation/Gift Shop. This position will report directly to the Retail Manager and/or Stockroom Manager. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the overall appearance of the store including stocking of merchandise and light cleaning, customer service, in-store, telephonic, and internet sales, web fulfillment, product receiving and tagging, and other duties as assigned. Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs., climb a ladder, and walk or stand for periods of time is required. The individual may work at off-site events to include Class Reunions, Graduation, Reception Day, Acceptance Day, etc. at West Point. Also, they will need to be available to work football games and during the busy holiday season. The incumbent must be able to work occasional nights and weekends as needed. Strong organizational and oral communication skills required. Sales, customer service, or cashier experience preferred. The incumbent must be responsible, personable, and quick learner. Incumbent under the age of 18 yrs. must provide working papers. Reliable transportation to and from work are a must and knowledge of West Point is a plus. This position does not offer benefits; Additionally, this position will pay approximately $17-$19 per hour. Please submit cover letter, resume and letters of reference.
