As a Hartville Giant Eagle Team Member, you'll deliver friendly, efficient service while supporting daily store operations. You'll greet customers, run registers, assist with bagging, and help guests find products. You will stock, rotate, and merchandise items, keeping shelves full, clean, and well-organized. Team Members follow all food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. In this role, you'll work closely with a supportive team, learn multiple areas of the store, and gain retail experience with opportunities for growth across Giant Eagle's retail and supply chain network. Responsibilities Provide friendly, efficient service to all customers at registers, service counters, and on the sales floor Accurately process sales, returns, and payments while following cash-handling procedures Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain clean, organized aisles, displays, and backroom areas Assist with merchandising, signage, and price checks to ensure items are correctly labeled Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies to maintain a safe, clean store Support online orders, curbside pickup, and bagging as needed to meet customer demand Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet store performance and service goals Respond to customer questions and help locate products throughout the store Participate in required trainings, meetings, and coaching to build knowledge and skills Help open and close the store by completing assigned checklists and security procedures Required Skills Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) operation Cash handling Merchandising Stocking and inventory rotation Food safety and sanitation basics Retail math and transaction accuracy Problem-solving Communication Time management
