Job Description
Overview Battr Lakewood is hiring Dessert Café Team Members to join our growing team. This is an all-around team member position where you will help build desserts, prepare coffee and drinks, serve customers, maintain clean workstations, restock supplies, and support daily store operations. We are looking for reliable, friendly, detail-oriented people who can work in a fast-paced dessert café environment. Team members are expected to help wherever needed, including dessert preparation, coffee/drink preparation, cashier duties, gelato service, cleaning, opening/closing tasks, and customer service. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Team members will receive hourly pay plus tips. Duties Build and prepare Battr desserts, including waffles, crepes, gelato items, and specialty dessert menu items Prepare coffee, espresso-style drinks, teas, and other beverages Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service Take orders, answer basic menu questions, and use the POS/register system Serve gelato and assist with dessert assembly during busy shifts Keep workstations clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service Restock ingredients, toppings, packaging, cups, utensils, and other supplies Follow food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards Assist with opening, closing, and general store duties Work with the team to keep service moving quickly and accurately during rushes Maintain Battr's standards for quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream shops, or dessert shops is preferred but not required Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work scheduled shifts Must be friendly, professional, and comfortable working directly with customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to learn dessert preparation, coffee/drink preparation, gelato service, and store procedures Ability to stand for extended periods and perform basic physical tasks during shifts Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team Must be willing to clean, restock, organize, and help wherever needed Evening and weekend availability is preferred Compensation Hourly pay plus tips Full-time and part-time positions available Flexible scheduling based on business needs and employee availability About Battr Battr is a dessert café focused on high-quality desserts, coffee, gelato, and a memorable customer experience.
