Through our ReStores, we generate funding for our mission while providing affordable home improvement items to the community. We are seeking dependable, customer-focused ReStore Assistants & Truck Drivers to support daily operations, assist donors and customers, and help manage donations and volunteers. Be a part of opening our new ReStore location in south Dayton!! Position Summary The ReStore Assistant & Truck Driver assists the ReStore Manager with daily operations, donation pickups, customer service, volunteer engagement, and warehouse organization. This position plays a key role in creating a positive shopping and donation experience while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and organized ReStore environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Donation Pickup & Transportation Drive a non-CDL box truck to pick up donations from residential and commercial donors. Safely load, transport, and unload donated items. Ensure donated merchandise is properly handled and secured during transport. Maintain positive relationships with donors during pickups and drop-off donations. ReStore Operations Assist with opening and operating the ReStore as needed. Effectively answer and direct telephone calls. Process, sort, price, and prepare donated merchandise for sale. Maintain organized and attractive product displays. Keep sales floor and warehouse areas safe, clean, and organized. Help manage inventory flow throughout the ReStore. Volunteer Engagement Provide a positive experience for volunteers by engaging them in meaningful and productive activities. Supervise and guide volunteers while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Promote a safe and welcoming environment for all volunteers. Additional Responsibilities Assist with maintaining warehouse organization and efficiency. Follow all Habitat for Humanity safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with a good driving record. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with staff, customers, donors, and volunteers. Preferred Prior box truck or delivery truck driving experience. Retail, warehouse, or donation center experience. Volunteer supervision experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission and values. Ability to follow through on responsibilities and work independently. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50-100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and warehouse operations.
