Warmly welcoming and engaging guests throughout their salon experience Consulting with guests to discover their individual needs, preferences, and beauty goals Providing personalized product recommendations based on the guest's needs Educating guests on Aveda products, ingredients, benefits, and proper use Meeting and/or exceeding established retail sales goals Promoting Aveda products, services, promotions, gift cards, and value-added experiences Offering Aveda value-added services and experiences that enhance the guest's visit Following up with guests by phone to ensure satisfaction, encourage rebooking, and recommend appropriate products or services Maintaining strong, positive, and professional relationships with guests and team members Creating a welcoming, inviting, and visually appealing retail environment Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked retail area Staying current on Aveda product knowledge, launches, promotions, and brand philosophy Utilizing SalonBiz and other computer software accurately and efficiently Accurately processing guest transactions and maintaining appropriate documentation Auditing register amounts during opening and closing procedures Following all company policies, procedures, and standards Supporting salon operations and team members as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, salon/spa, or a related field preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to consult with guests and identify their individual needs Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed retail sales goals Strong sales, service, and relationship-building skills Ability to confidently recommend products, services, and value-added experiences based on guest needs Ability to follow up with guests professionally by phone Strong knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Aveda products, philosophy, and services Knowledge of SalonBiz and basic computer software preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash and completing register opening and closing procedures Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the Aveda brand Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining positive relationships with guests and coworkers Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced salon environment Core Performance Expectations Success in this position is demonstrated through: Consistently exceptional guest service Achievement of individual and team retail goals Strong Aveda product knowledge and confident recommendations Positive guest relationships and effective follow-up Accurate register and SalonBiz procedures A clean, organized, and inviting retail environment Professionalism, dependability, and teamwork Consistent representation of the salon's values and Aveda culture Requirements Core Performance Expectations Success in this position is demonstrated through: Consistently exceptional guest service Achievement of individual and team retail goals Strong Aveda product knowledge and confident recommendations Positive guest relationships and effective follow-up Accurate register and SalonBiz procedures A clean, organized, and inviting retail environment Professionalism, dependability, and teamwork Consistent representation of the salon's values and Aveda culture
