Job Description
Job Overview 20-30 hour / week, evening and weekend shifts. We are a Family Owned, Locally Owned, Small Town Business. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service by understanding their needs and guiding them through product options Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and responsible consumption practices. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions, handle cash register operations, and manage cash drawer handling with accuracy Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and maintaining a clean and organized retail space Manage retail sales using POS systems, ensuring accurate retail math calculations for transactions and inventory tracking Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or providing information remotely, maintaining professionalism at all times Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock replenishment, and participating in regular stock audits Promote compliance with all legal regulations and store policies related to cannabis sales and age restrictions Qualifications 18+ Valid MMJ Card Ability to pass a background check Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a customer-focused environment such as dispensaries or specialty stores Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, cash handling procedures, and retail transactions is essential Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication Basic math skills for accurate sales processing, inventory management, and cash drawer balancing Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and active listening capabilities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
