Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, ensuring product availability, and driving sales through effective communication and merchandising strategies. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering. Maintain store appearance through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers. Adhere to phone etiquette standards when answering customer calls or inquiries. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Proficiency in cash handling and basic math for accurate transaction processing. Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of retail math principles. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Familiarity with merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays. Previous experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not required. Ability to supervise others effectively, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
