excites you… You aren't looking for a Monday thru Friday job where you are at a computer all day… We are busy always (especially on the weekends), making it easy for our customers to feel welcomed and inspired Daily Responsibilities include: As a Product Recovery Associate, contributing to the recovery and sustainability work in the store, you will: Contribution in minimizing all internal damages or other costs related to IKEA products. Every day, we're using and wasting more energy and resources than ever before, and this isn't good news for the planet. At IKEA, we'd like to create more from less. Because we know that when we produce less waste, we'll be able to leave a cleaner, healthier planet to the generations to come. Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging and assembly. Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store. Support the quality work in the store in order to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products. Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products. Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of retail experience preferred. Knowledge of how to build quality IKEA furniture. Knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles. Be able to inspect article items and determine what's the best way to recover and keep it going to landfill. Attention to detail while multi-tasking is a must. Ability and flexibility to shift focus easily. Medium to high level of technology savviness using multiple systems in handheld devices, as well as computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, etc. Ability to self-start and have good and quick decision making. Experience working in a customer and commercial-oriented business. Must be able/comfortable to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50-75lbs. or more.

  • 12-20 hours per week. Must have complete open working availability Mondays to Sundays between the hours of 9:00AM to 10:30PM. The hourly pay range for this role is $17.78
