HIGH VALUE SCANNER
(HVS)
JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION
Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt
JOB OVERVIEW
MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The HVS role tests and inspects items of higher value, such as iPads, smart watches, and cell phones, to assess their condition before uploading them for auction. This role uses proprietary software to scan and upload product information into the auction portal with accuracy. This position reports to the Scan Team Lead.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electronics Scan items into the system to create online auction listings Search products online Screenshot and crop photos for online listings Correct and complete auto-pulled information for each item Responsible for meeting quantity and quality goals Other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and GM Must be tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot Must have a high level of integrity Must be comfortable with web- and browser-based software (Google/Amazon search) Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for hours at a time Must be able to follow written directions and company policies Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
