Job Summary Inside Sales Representative -

MacSteer Auto Steering About the Role MacSteer is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to manage and convert inbound customer inquiries for our agricultural auto-steering systems. This is a sales-focused position. The primary responsibility is to communicate with prospective customers by phone, text, email, and online channels, understand their equipment and needs, recommend the appropriate MacSteer solution, and consistently follow up through the completion of the sale. Approximately 80% of the role will be dedicated to direct sales activities , with up to 20% supporting sales team other sales-related activities . Key Responsibilities ∙Respond promptly to inbound leads from the website, Facebook, advertising campaigns, email, phone, and other online channels. ∙Follow up with prospective customers by phone, text, and email throughout the sales process. ∙Understand each customer's equipment, application, and auto-steering needs. ∙Explain MacSteer products, compatibility, pricing, installation options, and support based on the customer's needs. ∙Recommend the appropriate solution and guide qualified leads toward a completed sale. ∙Prepare quotes and maintain accurate lead and opportunity information in the CRM. ∙Coordinate with technical or operations teams when additional product or installation support is needed. ∙Re-engage previous inquiries and older leads to identify additional sales opportunities. ∙Support sales team with sales-related activities as needed. Qualifications ∙Previous experience in inside sales, inbound sales, phone sales, or lead conversion . ∙Proven ability to follow up with prospective customers and close sales. ∙Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, SMS, email, and online messaging. ∙Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills. ∙Self-motivated and comfortable working independently. ∙Organized and disciplined with customer follow-up. ∙Experience using CRM software to manage leads and opportunities. ∙Comfortable learning and explaining technical products. ∙Able to communicate effectively with farmers, equipment owners, and other hands-on customers. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: ∙Agriculture or farm equipment ∙Precision agriculture or
GPS/GNSS
products ∙Tractors, implements, or agricultural machinery ∙Industrial or commercial equipment ∙Automotive or equipment aftermarket products ∙Technical hardware or other higher-value products sold directly to end users Agricultural industry experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong sales experience in related technical, industrial, automotive, or equipment industries will also be considered. Compensation This position will have a base salary plus sales commission . Commission will be earned on completed sales, providing a direct incentive for lead conversion and sales performance. Specific salary and commission terms will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Arrangement This position does not require regular customer visits and may be performed primarily from home. The employee will be expected to work from the company office at least one day per week for team communication, product training, sales coordination, and other business needs. Additional office attendance may occasionally be required for training or meetings. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a sales professional who enjoys talking with customers, understands how to listen before recommending a solution, and is comfortable taking ownership of each opportunity from the initial inquiry through the completed sale. We are looking for someone who is proactive, consistent with follow-up, comfortable picking up the phone, and motivated by closing business. Experience working with farmers or equipment customers is a strong advantage, but the ability to understand customer needs, explain technical products clearly, and convert leads into sales is most important.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
