About TetherView TetherView is a growing IT services company that specializes in delivering secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions to businesses of all sizes. We help organizations "control IT chaos" by providing powerful digital workspace, cybersecurity, and infrastructure services. Through its Digital Bunker 365 Product Line, TetherView provides businesses using the Microsoft 365 platform a means of offering best-in-class security and compliance for their environment without needing to hire and develop staff. We have identified the New Jersey / New York metro region and surrounding areas as a very robust market for our services and are seeking a motivated, professional Sales Associate to drive new business opportunities across the region. Position Overview The Sales Associate is a high-visibility, community-centric role focused on one primary objective: closing sales by scheduling and securing free Microsoft 365 evaluations with prospective customers. This is not a technical sales role. The ideal candidate is a confident, relationship-driven closer who excels at consultative outreach, getting decision-makers to say "yes" to a no-risk evaluation, and then letting our technical experts take it from there. This role blends field sales, community engagement, and strategic relationship building, with full support from our executive team. The Sales Associate will collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership to refine our regional go-to-market approach.
The Sales Mission:
Sell the Evaluation, Close the Deal Your primary goal is to open doors, specifically, to schedule free 60-minute Microsoft 365 evaluations with qualified prospects.The evaluation pitch is straightforward:
Ask:
"Does your company use Microsoft? How many employees do you have?" Offer a free, no-obligation evaluation of their Microsoft 365 environment Explain we'll identify areas for improvement and deliver a 30-day action plan Highlight that Digital Bunker 365 is not a "set and forget" solution - it's continuous, expert-managed monitoring for security, compliance, and functionality Communicate cost savings: we consolidate tools like Zoom, Dropbox, and ShareFile into Microsoft 365, typically making Digital Bunker 365 a net-neutral cost experience Once the evaluation is booked and completed, our technical team takes over to present findings and articulate value and then you present the business case close the business. You earn commissions for evaluations completed and for deals closed. Key Responsibilities Sales & Evaluation Generation Proactively prospect and develop new business within the metro area through outreach, networking, community involvement, and targeted lead generation. Deliver a compelling, concise elevator pitch to qualify prospects and schedule free Microsoft 365 evaluations. Build rapport with potential customers, maintain ongoing communication, conduct discovery conversations, and convert qualified leads into booked evaluations. Meet and exceed monthly activity metrics (deals closed, calls, emails, meetings, evaluations scheduled and completed). Track all sales activities, pipeline progression, and client data within HubSpot. Attend and organize local business events, networking groups, community meetings, and industry conferences as a TetherView representative. Community & Relationship Engagement Establish strong, ongoing relationships with area businesses, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and referral partners. Represent TetherView professionally at local events, trade shows, and networking functions. Develop a deep understanding of the regional business environment, technology needs, and competitive landscape. Collaboration & Strategic Input Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align on growth objectives, local market strategies, and sales planning. Provide insight into customer trends, regional opportunities, and competitive intelligence. Contribute feedback to refine processes, marketing campaigns, and tools that support growth. Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from evaluation to onboarding and long-term customer success. Who You Are A strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills - you can explain complex value simply. Energetic, polished, professional, and confident interacting with business owners and decision-makers. Driven by activity metrics and performance goals. You track your numbers and hit your benchmarks. Highly organized with excellent time-management abilities. Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and motivated by autonomy and results. Experienced in consultative sales, ideally with B2B services (technology background is a plus but not required). Skilled in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred). Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. A natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys community engagement and networking. Not a technical salesperson - you don't need to know the product inside-out; you need to know how to open doors and earn trust. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas (5 years preferred). Strong experience in B2B sales; demonstrated ability to generate and close leads independently. Must live in and work within the New Jersey. This position is remote, but attendance at networking and business development events in the market area is expected. Ability and desire to attend events and meetings as needed (some evenings / weekends). Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting sales metrics and pipeline data. Comfort working in a startup or fast-growth environment. Preferred Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, or related field. 3+ years in a sales leadership, account executive, or sales management role. Prior experience with remote collaboration tools and CRM management. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or cloud-based business tools is a plus, but not a requirement. Compensation Structure Compensation is designed to reward activity and results at every stage of the sales process:Compensation:
$55,000 - $105,000 per year This is a Base + Commission for completed evaluations and closed deals What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based commissions tied to evaluations and closed deals.
