Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Furniture Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling furniture products, merchandise and providing exceptional customer service in a retail setting. Duties Welcome and identify customer needs Explain products & quality to customers Enter and process customer orders Maintain and build relationships with existing customers Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Address customer inquiries professionally, utilizing strong communication skills and phone etiquette. Requirements Previous experience in sales, interior design, or other related fields Ability to build rapport with customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Strong negotiation skills Familiarity with custom furniture is preferred. Knowledge on different types of woods, finishes and fabrics.
