Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Thrift Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with various store operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Your contributions will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and support the mission of our thrift store. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an appealing store layout. Assist in pricing items and ensuring that all products are displayed correctly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs and resolving any issues that may arise. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including the sales floor and backroom areas. Supervise volunteers or junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Utilize basic math skills to manage cash handling tasks effectively. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Basic math skills for managing sales and inventory tasks. A passion for customer service with a friendly attitude towards helping others. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
