Position Summary:
The Shift Lead supports store leadership by helping manage daily operations, ensuring great customer experiences, and leading team members during assigned shifts. You'll set the example for service, help train new team members, and make sure our store stays clean, organized, and pet friendly.
Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the store as scheduled, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and correctly.
  • Lead and motivate team members to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Handle cash management, register transactions, and daily deposits.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking and product rotation.
  • Maintain store appearances and uphold Pet Supplies Plus standards.
  • Support the Store Team Leaders in achieving sales goals and operational objectives.
  • Ensure proper care and welfare of live animals in the store.
  • Help train, coach, and mentor team members.
Qualifications:
  • Previous retail or leadership experience preferred.
  • Passion for pets and willingness to learn about pet care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to lead by example.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods.
