About Fuel Express:

Fuel Express is a family-owned gas station and convenience store serving the Hempstead community with quality fuel, snacks, drinks, and everyday essentials. We're a small, tight-knit team looking for a reliable person to help keep things running smoothly.

Job Summary:

We are hiring a dependable Part-Time Store Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll handle customer service at the register, stock shelves, maintain store cleanliness, front/face merchandise, and perform general gas station duties. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced convenience store environment where honesty and trustworthiness are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with a friendly, positive attitude Operate the cash register, process sales (fuel, lottery, snacks, drinks, etc.), and handle cash/credit transactions accurately Pump gas for customers when needed (full-service assistance) Stock shelves, receive deliveries, and rotate merchandise to ensure fresh products Front and face merchandise during downtime to keep displays neat and appealing Clean the store interior and exterior, including restrooms, pumps, windows, and floors Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment Follow all company policies, including accurate cash handling and inventory procedures Perform other duties as assigned (typical gas station tasks)

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old Must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable

• integrity is non-negotiable Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• this is non-negotiable Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and holidays as needed Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform cleaning tasks Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions Previous retail, customer service, or gas station experience is a plus but not required•we will train the right person!
