We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine & Spirits Sales Associate to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Greet and assist customers with a friendly demeanor, providing an elevated experience through personalized recommendations and product information.
Product Expertise:
Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of our extensive wine, beer, and spirits portfolio, staying current on industry trends to help customers with selections.
Sales & Merchandising:
Participate in targeted product promotions, create attractive displays, and support sales initiatives.
Operational Excellence:
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately, handle cash and credit transactions, and assist with inventory management, stocking, and general store maintenance.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure strict adherence to all local and state liquor laws and regulations, including age verification (must be 21 or older) and responsible alcohol service practices.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with co-workers and management to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum age of 21 years. Proven success in customer service and sales, preferably within a retail, food, or beverage environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and staff effectively. Solid attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift/move up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance). Knowledge of TABC regulations (or willingness to obtain certification) is preferred.
