Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Store & Logistics Support Associate ensures seamless store-to-store operations by assisting drivers on delivery routes (without driving) and performing critical in-store tasks when not on routes. This role bridges warehouse logistics and retail operations, requiring adaptability, physical stamina, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:
Drive company vehicles to deliver products safely and on time to various locations. Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring items are handled with care. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimize fuel usage and reduce delays. Maintain delivery records including receipts, invoices, and delivery logs to support inventory and store accuracy. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips and promptly report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Communicate with dispatch and store teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any delays or route changes. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, answering any questions or concerns. Assist with general grocery clerk duties during non-delivery hours, such as stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. Offer support during store events, reorganizations, or high-traffic periods as needed. Assist customers in the store by providing product information and recommendations. Keep delivery vehicles clean and well-maintained. Work with the team to ensure the store is tidy and welcoming. Follow all safety and traffic regulations while on the road. Be ready to pitch in with other tasks as needed to support the team.Additional Duties:
Management reserves the right to assign additional tasks as necessary to support store operations. Employees will be provided with proper training and protective equipment for any and all assigned tasks that require special handling.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment. Experience in driving and delivery roles is a plus.- Ability to engage professionally with customers and store personnel, demonstrating good communication and relationship-building skills Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks is a plus, but training will be provided.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus and will result in higher starting pay.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Tech-Savvy:
Use inventory systems, scanners, or delivery logs.- Familiarity with local area roads and routes is a bonus.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Workflow Clarity Example Schedule:
Daily:
Loading/unloading truck, stage deliveries for drivers. Join a delivery route (5-8 hours) to assist with drop-offs. Return to store; restock shelves, prep for any next-day transfers.Similar jobs in Pharr, TX
