The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. Process cash and credit transactions accurately using the cash register. Handle cash responsibly, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to provide accurate information to customers. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store is well-presented. Conduct product demos to engage customers and promote sales. Supervise junior staff members during shifts, providing guidance as needed. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Skills Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and change calculation. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Familiarity with retail math concepts for inventory management and sales tracking. Experience in supervising or training staff is beneficial. Capable of stocking shelves efficiently while maintaining organization within the store. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
