Store Associate

Job Summary The Buzz Hive is growing and we're looking to add to our staff! We are seeking a highly motivated and highly enthusiastic Store Associate to join our team! The ideal candidate should not only have a passion for cannabis and cannabis accessories but they should also be knowledgeable about State and Federal cannabis laws, cannabis history, strains, and the legal cannabis industry. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and meet sales targets. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment. Communicate effectively with customers regarding product inquiries, store policies, and promotions. Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in cannabis sales or smoke shop environments is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customer bases; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Basic math skills for handling transactions and conducting retail math calculations. Experience with merchandising techniques and inventory management is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when needed. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
