Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to join our student-focused retail team. In this role, you will guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, delivering exceptional, education-centered service. You'll support daily store operations, maintain merchandising standards, process rentals and repairs, and help meet sales goals. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and students, promote lessons and school programs, and mentor junior associates while upholding our inclusive, community-driven culture. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Deliver outstanding, student-focused customer service to parents, students, and educators Process rentals, repairs, special orders, and lesson enrollments accurately Support daily store operations including opening/closing, POS, and cash handling Maintain merchandising, signage, and product displays to brand standards Meet and help exceed individual and store sales and lesson enrollment goals Build relationships with local schools, educators, and community music programs Stay knowledgeable about product lines, financing, warranties, and promotions Promote and explain private lesson offerings and educational services Mentor junior associates and model Music & Arts' collaborative culture Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product knowledge - band and orchestra instruments Merchandising Sales reporting and goal tracking Rental and repair processing Basic CRM or customer follow-up Lesson program enrollment and scheduling
