We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Lines Insurance Professional to join our team as an Inside Sales & Support Associate. This role is designed for a candidate with broad commercial lines expertise across multiple industries, coupled with strong, hands-on experience in trucking and transportation risks. You will serve as a key resource to our agent network, supporting the placement, servicing, and structuring of a wide range of commercial accounts—from small businesses to more complex and specialized risks. Your transportation knowledge will be critical in supporting and growing that segment, while your overall commercial experience will allow you to contribute across the full book of business. This position plays a vital role in driving technical accuracy, placement success, and service excellence, while helping elevate agent performance and confidence across commercial lines. Key Responsibilities Commercial Lines Agent Support & Risk Placement Serve as a primary point of contact for agents on commercial lines accounts across multiple industries Review submissions for completeness, underwriting quality, and market readiness Assist with marketing, quoting, negotiating, binding, and issuing new and renewal business Provide strategic guidance on coverage structure, carrier selection, and risk placement Support a wide range of accounts, including but not limited to: General liability, BOP, property, auto, umbrella, and workers' compensation Habitational, contractors, retail, and service industries Trucking, transportation, and motor carrier risks (key area of strength) Transportation Subject Matter Expertise Act as a go-to resource for trucking and transportation accounts, including owner-operators and fleet risks Provide insight into carrier appetite, program options, and underwriting requirements specific to transportation Review and guide submissions involving driver qualifications, loss history, safety considerations, and regulatory exposure Assist in structuring transportation accounts with proper coverages (auto liability, cargo, physical damage, umbrella, etc.) Policy Servicing & Account Management Support endorsements, renewals, and policy changes across commercial accounts Handle COIs, additional insured requests, and documentation requirements Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the agency management system Ensure compliance with internal standards and carrier guidelines Agent Training & Development Provide guidance and mentorship to agents on commercial lines best practices Assisting in educating agents on coverage interpretation, risk assessment, and submission quality Share expertise in transportation risks to strengthen agency capabilities in that niche Operational & Workflow Excellence Manage a high volume of service and sales support requests through a ticketing system and phone communication Collaborate with underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to move accounts efficiently Contribute to improving workflows, response times, and placement outcomes Qualifications Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required) Minimum 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience Strong, well-rounded knowledge of commercial coverage across multiple industries Hands-on experience with trucking and transportation risks (required) Proven experience with submissions, marketing, and carrier negotiations Proficiency with agency management systems (Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a brokerage or agency supporting retail agents Established familiarity with transportation carriers, MGAs, or specialty markets Experience handling complex or middle-market accounts Knowledge of
