In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert advice and assistance related to our wide selection of aquatic products and live aquatic animals. Your enthusiasm for marine life and excellent customer service skills will help create a welcoming environment for all visitors. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a vibrant retail setting dedicated to aquatic enthusiasts. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products suitable for their needs, including fish, tanks, accessories, and supplies. Provide expert guidance on aquarium setup, maintenance, and care for various aquatic species. Answer customer questions about different types of fish, plants, equipment, and best practices for aquarium maintenance. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring all products are properly displayed and stocked. Educate customers on safety procedures when handling live animals and maintaining their aquariums. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point-of-sale system. Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies at all times. Assist with maintaining a safe environment for both staff and customers by adhering to safety protocols. Experience Previous retail experience is preferred but not required; a passion for aquatic life and willingness to learn are essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to customers. Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic knowledge of aquarium systems, fish care, or related fields is advantageous but training will be provided. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers about their interests in aquariums and marine life while contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Pay:

$11.00 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 20.0 per week
