About Preloved Preloved is a Finnish-inspired resale marketplace where sellers rent weekly booths to showcase their curated secondhand items. Think boutique thrift — clean, rotating, and community-driven. We handle the foot traffic, marketing, and in-store experience so sellers can focus on bringing great inventory. Every Saturday brings a full store reset with new sellers, new items, and new energy. It's a treasure hunt that refreshes every single week. The Role As a Preloved Pro, you are the in-store experience. You're the person who makes every shopper feel welcome, helps them discover something they didn't know they needed, and gets them excited enough to come back — or book a booth of their own. This is a high-energy, people-first role where no two shifts look the same. You'll rotate between two core positions each shift: Behind the Counter (checkout, DM sales, tagging kits) and On the Floor (booth merchandising, customer engagement, social media content). Both roles are critical to driving store revenue and creating the boutique experience Preloved is known for. What You'll DoBehind the Counter Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently Monitor and respond to Instagram DMs in real time to close DM sales Track all DM claims in the store's Excel sheet with zero backlog Pitch booth booking to every customer at checkout using your personal booking code Hand every customer a promotional flier and ask them to leave a Google review Prepare and restock tagging kits so they're always ready for incoming sellers Return items from the put-back rack to their correct booths when all other duties are complete On the Floor Polish booths throughout your shift — move items to eye level, position name brands to the left, and make every booth easy to shop Approach every shopper, explain how Preloved works, and set up your checkout teammate to book booths Create and post Instagram Stories, Reels, and posts featuring name-brand finds to drive foot traffic Answer all incoming phone calls using the Preloved greeting Keep the store looking clean, organized, and inviting at all times Opening & Closing Post a minimum of 50 Instagram Stories by 10:00 AM on opening shifts to generate morning traffic Ensure all DMs are answered and claims resolved before closing Clean all surfaces, windows, mirrors, bathrooms, and prep the store for the next day Who You Are You're a people person. Talking to strangers energizes you, not drains you. You can strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like they belong. You're comfortable on social media. Posting Stories and Reels on Instagram feels natural, not forced. You know what good content looks like and you can create it on the fly. You're detail-oriented. A messy booth, an unanswered DM, or a missed Google review request — these things bother you because you care about doing the job right. You're reliable. You show up on time, you follow through, and your team can count on you. You move with urgency. When a DM comes in, you respond immediately. When the put-back rack fills up, you handle it. You don't wait to be told. You love a good find. Secondhand shopping excites you. You appreciate the treasure-hunt energy of Preloved and it comes through in how you engage with customers. How We Measure Success Every Preloved Pro is measured against clear, trackable standards: Booths booked through your personal booking code Google reviews generated from checkout conversations DM sales closed and tracked in the claims sheet 50+ Instagram Stories posted by 10:00 AM on every opening shift All DMs and texts responded to within 15 minutes during store hours Booth polish quality: nothing buried, nothing on top or bottom shelves, name brands to the left Flier handed to every customer at checkout — no exceptions
