Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional, friendly and organized Golf Course Retail Associate with experience in Organized Recreational/Entertainment Concierge, Apparel Sales, Inventory, Upselling popular lines, inventory and providing excellent customer service. Previous experience in customer service or retail, sporting outlet, clothing outlet and/or any basic understanding of golf and recreation activities with emphasis on retail, strong phone etiquette, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers. Essential Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service in the golf pro-shop by welcoming golfers, accurately processing charges at the register, and properly checking in all players before their round, collecting green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day for proper cash handling procedures as trained. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, computers, scheduling and basic cash handling procedure is a plus, but training can be provided.

Record accurate contact and messages to properly convey to the Manager on Duty for information on membership, guest inquiries, manage tee-time bookings in person and over the phone, and engage in friendly, professional conversations. Maintain a calm, courteous, and attentive demeanor, even in high-pressure situations, to provide a superior customer experience. Assists in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies, inventory management by organizing storage and display areas and maintaining stock levels of frequently sold items (e.g., apparel, gloves, hats, and balls). Ensure customers are promptly informed when special orders arrive and handle all returns, issuing appropriate credits. Assist with end-of-day business functions following the club's guidelines and established procedures to ensure accurate reporting and efficient closeout and cash handling procedures. Ensure all daily tasks are completed including maintaining orderly and organized work areas, tidying the pro-shop and entry areas, and restocking merchandise as needed. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager for administrative support. Able to work weekend and early evening hours.

$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
