Job Description
The Shenandoah National Park Association (SNPA) has two visitor center Park Stores that we operate. This position would be considered part-time, working anywhere from 2-4 days a week. SNPA considers this as a floating position that serves both locations: Byrd Visitor Center (which is at mile 51 on Skyline Drive with access either from Route 211 at Thornton Gap or Tanners Ridge fireroad) and Dickey Ridge Visitor Center (which is at mile 4.6 on Skyline Drive just south of Front Royal). The associate performs a combination of sales operations, inventory handling, membership promotion, and visitor support tasks. This position requires excellent customer service skills, physical stamina, and adaptability. A seasonal position, working part-time, May through November, guaranteed two days a week (16 hours) but up to 32 hours a week if needed. Normal work schedule is 8:45 am
- 5:15 pm with ½ for lunch. During extended hours, June
- October, may be scheduled for 9:45 am
- 6:15 pm if work on Fridays or Saturdays.
