Retail Store Associate The Hanover Market Mechanicsville, VA Job Details Part-time From $16.50 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Retail sales transactions Customer communication Moving English High school diploma or GED Driver's License Retail store experience Manual handling Full Job Description About the Role Hanover Market CSA is seeking a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Market Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operations of our on-site farmers' market and retail storefront. You'll help create a welcoming experience for customers while keeping inventory moving and the space clean and organized. Key Responsibilities Receive and check in incoming inventory Stock shelves, displays, and product areas Operate the cash register / POS system and handle cash and card transactions Greet and assist customers in a friendly, helpful manner Clean and maintain the workplace (sales floor, storage areas, and exterior as needed) Support special events and market days Perform other normal farmers' market and retail tasks as assigned What We're Looking For Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled Wednesday-Saturday hours Comfortable on your feet and handling physical tasks, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds Positive attitude and good customer service skills Willingness to learn our systems (including POS) and follow store procedures Prior retail, market, or customer-facing experience is a plus but not required
