Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Retail Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with all guests in a cheerful, positive, and upbeat manner. The incumbent must maintain a positive presentation of the store by proactively stocking shelves and keeping the store neat and clean.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Greeting, assisting, and selling to guests in a friendly manner Maintaining & updating store displays, windows, and merchandised areas Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all vendors and products Creating an inviting atmosphere by maintaining the image and cleanliness of the store Managing front-end sales using point-of-sale software Receiving, stocking and rotating store products Follow policies and procedures that help to prevent harm to associates, guests and members
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Excel at customer service Must enjoy working directly with the general public Present a neat and positive image along with a professional appearance Is a tactical sales strategist Possess problem solving skills Possess computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Be innovative and easily adapt to change
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
High school diploma OR GED equivalent
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT
(S): Must possess a valid, unrestricted Virginia driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Physical demands on the incumbent consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Incumbent must be able to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction, and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood.
