Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays through effective merchandising techniques. Manage retail math tasks such as calculating totals, discounts, and ensuring accurate cash drawer handling. Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to increase sales. Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support supervising team members during shifts by overseeing daily operations and ensuring store standards are met. Perform basic grocery store or retail store product knowledge tasks to better assist customers. Engage in inventory management activities including stock replenishment and inventory checks. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential! Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual setting is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts such as cash handling and cashiering procedures. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professionalism. Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product knowledge enhances your ability to assist shoppers effectively.
