•Vintage & Antique Enthusiast Hewitt Estates & Antiques is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to join our team! Our two main directives are simple: Make friends. Sell things. We have a deeply loyal customer base, and many of our customers visit the shop regularly. We believe that great retail is about more than making a sale — it's about getting to know people, remembering what they like, sharing the story behind an interesting piece, and making the store a place they enjoy coming back to. Our store motto is "Teacups to Taxidermy." We mean it! Our inventory is eclectic and constantly changing, and we try to have something for everyone — from beautiful antique furniture and vintage décor to quirky collectibles, art, curiosities, and the wonderfully weird things you simply don't find in an ordinary retail store. If you love old things, interesting people, and the fun of discovering what comes through the door next, we'd love to meet you. The Position We're looking for an outgoing, creative, customer-focused person who genuinely enjoys antiques and vintage merchandise. This is not a traditional retail environment. Our inventory changes constantly, and we want someone who gets excited about styling the store, creating beautiful vignettes, discovering the potential in an unusual piece, and talking to customers about what they've found. You'll help make the store feel fresh, interesting, and worth coming back to every time. What You'll Do Make friends and sell things! Welcome customers and create a warm, friendly shopping experience Get to know our regular customers and remember their interests and preferences Engage customers in conversation and help them discover things they didn't know they were looking for Learn about our inventory and be able to tell customers what makes a piece interesting, unusual, or special Create attractive displays and beautiful vignettes throughout the store Merchandise furniture, art, collectibles, décor, and curiosities in creative and visually appealing ways Regularly refresh displays as new merchandise arrives Help customers find pieces that fit their homes, collections, or personal interests Keep the sales floor organized, clean, inviting, and constantly evolving Assist with pricing, tagging, cleaning, and preparing merchandise for display Help receive and move merchandise when needed Work with the rest of our small team to keep the store running smoothly Who We're Looking For We're especially interested in someone who has some connection to the antique, vintage, estate sale, flea market, design, or collectibles world. You don't need to be an expert on everything we sell. In fact, that's probably impossible — Teacups to Taxidermy is a pretty broad category! What matters most is that you're curious, enthusiastic, personable, and excited to learn.

The ideal candidate:

Loves antiques, vintage items, furniture, collectibles, or unusual objects Has an eye for merchandising, styling, color, scale, and presentation Enjoys creating displays and making things look beautiful Is outgoing and genuinely enjoys talking with people Is comfortable approaching customers and starting conversations Can build relationships with regular customers Has a good sense of humor and doesn't take themselves too seriously Is curious about the stories and history behind objects Has good attention to detail Can work independently and take initiative Is dependable and willing to pitch in wherever needed Is comfortable lifting and moving merchandise Experience in antiques, vintage furniture, estate sales, interior design, home décor, collectibles, resale, or a similar environment is a strong plus. About Us Hewitt Estates & Antiques is a unique antique and vintage shop and online auction house with an ever-changing collection of furniture, home décor, art, collectibles, curiosities, and everything in between. We're a small team, so everyone plays an important role. We value people who are friendly, dependable, creative, hardworking, and willing to jump in and help. If "Teacups to Taxidermy" sounds like your kind of workplace, we'd love to hear from you.
