Retail Sales Specialist Customer Service & Store Operations Mukilteo, WA $16.82 - $21.15/Hour U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are hiring a Retail Sales Specialist to support customer service, retail sales, inventory management, and store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, processing point-of-sale transactions, managing merchandise inventory, supporting visual merchandising standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day store operations.
Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. Process sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and special orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Open and close the store in accordance with established operating procedures. Receive, process, and organize inbound and outbound merchandise shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and merchandise availability. Process merchandise transfers, markdowns, Mark Out of Stock (MOS), and Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions. Prepare and complete inventory documentation and support annual inventory counts. Execute merchandising floor sets and maintain visual merchandising standards. Organize and maintain stockroom inventory and storage areas. Prepare and process customer merchandise orders and special requests. Coordinate store maintenance needs and report facility-related issues. Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries via email and other communication channels. Identify, report, and support resolution of safety and housekeeping concerns. Restock merchandise and maintain overall store cleanliness and presentation standards. Escalate customer concerns and complaints to store management as appropriate. Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, vocational training, Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1+ year of retail sales, customer service, or related experience. Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions. Knowledge of inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandise receiving, and retail operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively. Ability to work onsite and perform retail store operational duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of retail sales, customer service, or related retail experience. Experience supporting inventory counts, merchandising resets, and stockroom operations. Experience processing merchandise transfers, markdowns, MOS, and RTV transactions. Experience supporting retail sales goals and performance objectives.
