Electric City, WA Summary:
The Retail Clerk - Pro Shop is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting daily retail and clubhouse operations at Coyote Ridge Golf Course. This position assists members and guests with merchandise sales, tee time coordination, and general inquiries while ensuring accurate transaction processing and organized retail displays. The Retail Clerk contributes to a welcoming and professional atmosphere that enhances the overall golf experience and supports operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Greet members and guests in a professional and welcoming manner Assist customers with merchandise selection and product information Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Respond to tee time inquiries and assist with scheduling according to established procedures Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing retail displays Restock merchandise and assist with inventory counts as assigned Support promotional events and sales initiatives Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pro shop and clubhouse areas Provide general operational support to clubhouse management as needed Cleans golf carts and building exterior as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous customer service or retail experience Retail experience in golf, sporting goods, or hospitality environments Experience assisting with inventory counts or merchandising Knowledge of golf terminology and course operations Strong organizational and time-management skills
Physical Demands:
Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach, and climb as required Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 lbs Frequent manual and finger dexterity for operating POS systems and handling merchandise May be exposed to varying temperatures when assisting in indoor and outdoor areas
Work Environment:
Retail and clubhouse environment Exposure to moderate noise levels during peak guest activity Work performed both independently and in collaboration with clubhouse staff May require occasional outdoor work supporting events or course operations
