Responsibilities Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the Lead Decorator will: Lead and inspire the decorating team to consistently deliver the quality and experience that define the Trophy brand. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for quality, productivity, and performance. Coach, train, and develop decorators while fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture. Drive measurable results by achieving daily production goals, maintaining quality standards, and continuously improving efficiency. Demonstrate expert knowledge of cake building, frosting techniques, piping, recipe execution, and decorating standards. Effectively communicate daily production priorities, goals, and strategies with the team. Collaborate with Bakery Management to ensure appropriate inventory levels, organization, and workflow. Maintain exceptional organization and kitchen standards, including FIFO and food safety practices. Partner with department leaders to solve problems, streamline processes, and improve quality and operations. Serve as a role model for Trophy's mission, values, and commitment to excellence. Embrace change and help lead the team through growth and evolving priorities. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Professional cake decorating experience required. Experience driving measurable results and improving processes. Additional baking experience is a plus. Washington State Food Handler's Permit. Experience with scheduling, labor management, and forecasting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
