Job Description Our baggers are responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently bagging customers' groceries correctly. Responsible for keeping bags stocked, keeping area clean, cleaning duties as assigned and retrieving carts in the parking lot. Responsible for assisting in other departments as necessary. A desire to help others and the ability to follow our high-quality product, safety, and sanitation standards are key to being successful in this role. Duties & Responsibilities Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions. Help customers find merchandise and answer customer's questions Handle grocery items properly and use correct methods of bagging Retrieve grocery carts as needed in all weather conditions Complete any additional duties as they are assigned Stock and face shelves when needed Complete cleaning duties as assigned. Keep the bagging area clean, which includes but not limited to: sweep, dust, clean belts/lane, etc. Complete any additional duties as they are assigned Qualifications Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service. Must be accurate and detail oriented. Able to lift 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. Stand for the duration of work shift. Reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting merchandise regularly. Squatting with merchandise occasionally. Positive, friendly and team oriented. Able to multitask and work in fast paced environment. Ability to push, pull, maneuver a minimum of 6-8 grocery carts at a time Stand for the extent of a shift. Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems. Ability to interpret and follow instructions. Work Conditions Baggers perform their duties primarily in the Front-End department of the store. They may be exposed to various temperatures and work environments. Work involves frequently walking, standing, lifting, moving, carrying, and stocking products. The position requires frequent interactions with customers and fellow associates.
