Senior Manager, Operations Summary:
The Group Lead is responsible for the overall performance, coordination, and execution of multiple departments within Load Cell Manufacturing. This role provides leadership to Team Leads and ensures alignment to safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety Champion a strong culture of safety across all assigned departments Ensure consistent adherence to safety policies, procedures, and accountability standards Review incidents, near misses, and corrective actions Partner with EHS team to proactively identify and mitigate risks Quality Ensure consistent adherence to standard work and quality processes Support escalation and resolution of systemic quality issues Partner with Quality to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions Reinforce "right first time" quality expectations Operational Execution Ensure Team Leads are effectively managing workflow within departments, aligning team members to the right tasks at the right time, and driving execution Monitor performance metrics and intervene when gaps exist Remove barriers impacting safety, quality, delivery, or productivity Coordinate resources across departments to optimize value stream performance Training & Development Ensure team members are trained to standard work and quality instructions Promote cross-training and development to support flexibility and coverage Coordinate and track training activities within and across departments Continuous Improvement Own and drive alignment of the department MDI (Daily Management) process Ensure consistent execution of 5S, standard work, and visual management Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives Promote a positive approach to change management Administrative & Systems Oversight Ensure accurate and timely ERP transactions (SAP preferred) Oversee production order release and execution through Team Leads Submit maintenance requests and manage department supplies Provide input for performance appraisals Review daily workflow and communicate action plans during department board talks
Requirements:
Education & Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience 5+ years of manufacturing experience; electronic assembly experience preferred Prior leadership experience supporting multiple teams or functions Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills Ability to lead through others and influence across functions Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, flow, and constraints Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) Benefits 1.
