Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this role, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes shoppers, provides expert product guidance, and ensures smooth transactions at the register. Your proactive approach will help customers find what they need, discover new products through engaging demos, and leave with a smile. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail sales skills, showcase your communication talents, and contribute to a vibrant shopping environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product demos when appropriate to enhance their experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns Maintain an organized sales floor by merchandising products and stocking shelves efficiently Upsell additional items and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction Manage cashier responsibilities including processing transactions swiftly and accurately while adhering to phone etiquette standards Support inventory management through stock replenishment and monitoring product availability Requirements Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a nice-to-have) Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in a similar retail environment is beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
