Job Description

St. Vincent de Paul - Oconomowoc location is looking for donation attendants. Weekend availability is required . The donation attendant position pays $17.00/hr. Monday - Friday and $18.00/hr. on Saturday & Sunday. Donation Attendant Responsibilities Greet donors and carefully load/unload items from customer's vehicles. Responsible for writing receipts for items donated. Prepare donated items to be processed (sorted & priced), recycled or discarded. Sort sellable donated items to their proper departments. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly area with safety practices enforced. Responsible for keeping display fixtures and sales floor neat and orderly. Responsible for operation of forklift as needed. Responsible for maintaining excellent and courteous relations with customers in the retail store and for providing good customer service. Cross train in other departments as needed. Complete all assigned training and attend all mandatory meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Ability to communicate with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Ability to use all Store equipment, including phones, registers and PC as required. Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the backroom and store as required. Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 50 pounds while working both indoors and outdoors. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies. Flexibility to adapt and change duties as needed by the store management.
