In this dynamic role, you'll engage with customers, showcase our diverse book selection, prepare and serve delicious beverages, and create an inviting atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail, customer service, and food service skills in a supportive environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating books or selecting coffee and snacks to enhance their visit Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash register operations, and cash handling Stock shelves with new inventory, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is attractive and well-maintained Conduct product demos or tastings for coffee or specialty items to promote sales and customer engagement Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and maintaining a friendly attitude Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about store hours, product availability, or upcoming events Upsell complementary products such as gift items or specialty beverages to increase sales opportunities Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in bookstore or coffee shop environments Strong communication skills Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for retail math calculations Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions with visitors Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable experiences through excellent service, quality products, and a welcoming atmosphere.
