FOH MANAGER

Mission and Scope Coordinating daily restaurant management operations. Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction. Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints. To ensure that food, beverage and service meets or exceeds YUMM regulatory and professional standards. Qualifications; Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements

Education:

Completion of High school or GED required. BSc degree in Business Administration preferred; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus 3 years of hospitality-related experience or proven customer service experience Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software Comfortable using a computer, Microsoft Office, Email Current food handler's card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law

• Acute financial management skills Responsibilities Pleases customers by providing a pleasant dining experience. Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change. Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; and ensuring high quality of preparation. Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission. Maximizes bar profitability by ensuring portion control and monitoring accuracy of charges. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining security and sprinkler systems; and maintaining parking lot and walkways. Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; and monitoring food presentation and service. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Physical Requirements of the Position This position has the following special requirements: Walking, climbing (stairs) to access other departments and areas of the Food Service department. Standing for long periods of time (5-7hrs) instructing, training, supervising employees. Sitting for short periods of time (15-30minutes) at desk operating computer. Lifting, Carrying, Pushing supplies, boxes up to 50 lbs waist high. Bending, Kneeling, Reaching to store / retrieve supplies. Sight, Reading, Wrist Movements, feeling to operate food service equipment, computer terminal, develop schedules, review reports. Talking, Hearing to instruct employees and assist guests, trainees, and service providers in person and over the telephone. This position involves working in a kitchen / food service environment that is subject to changing temperatures. This position deals extensively with guests, trainees, and employees throughout the organization. Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for food preparation, handling, and storing. Systematically inspect food service equipment to ensure optimal levels of performance and safety. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of the Manager's Daily Opening and Closing Check list. Ensure that assigned area of responsibility has adequate supplies and materials necessary to conduct daily operations. Meet or exceed the expectations of the Restaurant Manager for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.
