Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Structural Steel Fabrication Shop Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in the fabrication of high-quality structural steel components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of shop management, from production planning and process improvement to quality control and supply chain coordination. Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline fabrication processes. Supervise and mentor shop personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability. Coordinate with supply chain teams to analyze logistics, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain management strategies for timely delivery of materials. Conduct quality control inspections throughout fabrication stages to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Utilize manufacturing analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies for operational excellence. Lead efforts in mechanical knowledge application, assembly processes, and plant management to improve overall shop performance. Experience Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in structural steel or heavy fabrication industries. Demonstrated ability to implement lean manufacturing techniques and drive continuous process improvements. Knowledge of supply chain analytics, operations management, and supply chain management practices. Hands-on experience with quality control procedures, mechanical assembly, and process optimization in a manufacturing setting. Leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively while promoting safety and operational excellence.
