Job Description
This position requires living onsite in a designated 2-bedroom apartment. The Co-op Coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management, including leasing, maintenance, finance, and resident-member relations. They are responsible for promoting the belief in the cooperative principles and assisting in creating a strong community that adheres to CSI policies and federal, state, and local laws. This is accomplished by providing continuous education to empower all members to participate in the management of their cooperative while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Additionally, the Co-op Coordinator acts in the best interest of the cooperative and represents the corporation in a positive manner and promotes the mutual policy of respect between resident-members. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Manage the daily operations of the properties Complete annual budgets and monitor monthly finances Oversee maintenance of the co-op, including working closely with maintenance person to conduct monthly site walks and inspections, unit inspections, ensuring work orders are completed timely, and adhering to the preventative maintenance schedule Ensure vacancy turnover times are met and maintain full occupancy Assist in the maintenance of the co-op waiting list in conjunction with the wait list department Coordinate applicant screening interviews, move-ins and move-outs in conjunction with the certification department Handle all reasonable accommodation/modification requests end ensure timely processing and follow-up Ensure effective customer service and resident relations Build strong relationships with resident-members, address concerns, and maintain a positive community atmosphere Promote and foster volunteer engagement in our unique cooperative management system Update Outlook calendars, answer emails, voicemails, phone calls and direct mailings Attend regular staff and education meetings Review and process invoices and payables Write monthly co-op report about overall operations Listen to the board meeting at your assigned co-op with members Post 30-day nonpayment of rent notices and follow-up Respond to emergencies during and after hours Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements Performs other related duties as assigned.
