Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Sales Manager to join our retail team. In this pivotal role, you will support the store management in driving sales, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Assist the store manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales activities, inventory control, and customer service excellence Lead and motivate the sales team by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to meet sales goals and improve overall team effectiveness Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong retail team Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing adjustments, and stocktaking to optimize product availability Supervise cashiering functions including cash handling, POS system operation, and cashier training to ensure accuracy and efficiency Assist with payroll processing, bookkeeping duties, and operational tasks like purchasing and inventory control to maintain smooth store functioning Skills Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer decisions and vendor relationships Excellent employee orientation, training & development capabilities with supervisory experience in retail settings Proficiency in interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management systems Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases effectively Solid understanding of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management metrics, budgeting, and cash handling procedures Effective communication skills with managerial communication expertise for team leadership and customer interactions Experience with POS systems, operational management tools, merchandising techniques, stock control practices, and shift management Demonstrated leadership in retail industry sales team management with a focus on customer service excellence Organizational skills for managing multiple priorities such as training schedules, inventory audits, and operational workflows Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and sales analysis Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your leadership can make a real impact!
